At the outbreak of COVID I switched to online appointments and now work exclusively online

I offer online appointments to UK based clients. For insurance and legal reasons I do not work with clients who are normally resident outside the UK.

I do work with clients from overseas who are living in the UK while studying at a UK University. Likwise I do work with clients who may be temporarily abroad e.g. on holiday, travelling or abroad on business, but are normally resident in the UK as long as I can do so within the legal framework of the clients location.

I live in Scotland and am bound by Scots Law. In Scotland the age of majority (adulthood) is 16. For this reason I work with Scottish based clients aged 16 and over. However, because the age of adulthood is 18 in the rest of the UK if a client is based outside Scotland the minimum age is 18.

Likewise the Law around working with clients where adoption is an issue is different between Scotland and England and Wales. I can work with clients outside England and Wales where adoption is a core issue, however if the client lives in England and Wales and adoption is the core of the work the client has to work with a therapist who is specifically accredited to provide this service and I am not accredited to do so.
